Installation
Risk Management for Jira installs from the Atlassian Marketplace like any other Jira Cloud app. You need to be a Jira administrator to install it. Setting it up afterwards does not require Jira admin rights — that is done inside the app by whoever will administer risk.
Install the app
- In Jira, open Settings → Apps → Explore more apps.
- Search for Risk Management for Jira.
- Select Try it free to start the 30-day trial, or Buy now.
- Review the permissions the app requests and confirm.
- When installation finishes, the app appears in the Jira sidebar under Apps.
First launch
Opening the app for the first time starts the onboarding wizard. It creates your first workspace and invites your first users. See Getting Started for what to do next.
Jira Service Management Premium is optional. The app can source assets from the JSM asset database, but it does not require it. Without JSM Premium you use the app’s own custom asset lists instead, and nothing else changes.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling the app from Manage apps stops all access immediately. Your data is retained for a recovery period before permanent deletion — see Security and Compliance for the exact retention behaviour.
